Subject: templates - Nothing working
I've just set up DokuWiki on my webhosting account (DokuWiki 2009-02-14b) but when I try to install templates (I've tried a couple) I lose pretty much all formatting.

It's hard to see where I might be going wrong. I'm unpacking the tar files into the right place, the directories are appearing and seem to be fully stocked.

I've no idea where to start looking for the problem so any pointers would be appreciated.

That's the one the autoinstaller on the webhosting service plonks on by default.   So that's the first thing to try then.  :)

I've upgraded to Lemming (Nice installer BTW), and tried reinstalling a couple of templates. (7thRoot7 and monobook), I'm still getting nothing.

The default template works? What PHP version are you running? PHP 5.3.0 contains a bug that breaks slashes in ini key values. If the plugins you tried have separate css subfolders they will not work on 5.3.0. The bug should be fixed in 5.3.1

It looks like they're running PHP 5.2.  This is really unfortunate.  I don't have the sort of low level access to the account to be able to upgrade the PHP directly myself.  I'll have to see if I can get Servage support to do it.

5.2 is allright, it doesn't have this bug so your problem is something else.

[facepalm]  Permissions.  I set the permissions for the monobook folders to 755, and it all seems to be working.

Thanks for your time Andi.
