Subject: Forum Rules
This forum is intended as a place where DokuWiki users can talk about their experiences, ask questions and help each other.
Please follow the following simple rules when posting here:
Search before you ask
Your question may have been answered already, so please before asking a question search at least the Forum and the Wiki for an answer. The simplest way to search all important DokuWiki docs is to use search.dokuwiki.org (powered by Google).
No development questions
Do not ask development questions here, use the mailinglist instead. All DokuWiki development is coordinated there. This includes questions about how to write a plugin or extend DokuWiki's features.
No bug reports or feature requests
Do not report bugs or feature requests here, use the bug tracker instead. To get a bug fixed it is important to have a single system were the state of the bug (or feature request) can be tracked.
Stay on topic
Please try to stay on the topic of a thread. If you have multiple questions open multiple threads with meaningful subjects. This makes it easier for others with the same problem to find it later. Moderators will split threads which drift from the original topic.
Ask smart questions
Take your time thinking about what you really want to ask, instead of just rushing out an unclear question. Make it easy to answer you. I really recommend reading How To Ask Questions The Smart Way first. It will help you here and in many other places as well.
