Subject: [SOLVED] phpBB2 user integration – problems with searchindex

Hi experts,

I tried to integrate the phpBB user and group management into DokuWiki (phpBB 2.0.22 & DokuWiki 2007-06-26b). I followed the instructions as described here: http://wiki.splitbrain.org/wiki:tips:integrate_with_phpbb#…

I put the phpbb.class.php into dokuwiki/inc/auth.

I added the code
1. $location = '../../';
as described to all files in dokuwiki/lib/exe

At a first glance it worked very well. One minor problem is, that inserting a signature while editing an article don't work. But recently I discovered a major problem:

The searchindex isn't updated anymore. Manually updating the searchindex is still working. With 'http://mypath/dokuwiki/lib/exe/indexer.…?id=namespace:pa…' the searchindex is updated correctly.

When I undo the phpBB integration, the updating of the searchindex works well again.

What could be a solution of my problem?

Has anyone any experience with integrating phpBB2 user management?

Problem was solved by disabling register_globals. See http://irc.dokuwiki.org/index.php?d=2008-03-29 for problem analysis.
