Subject: Adding data to the TOC
I am using the Discussion plugin and the Arctic template.  The Discussion section on any particular page is always placed at the end of the page so as not to interrupt the flow.  It does mean on some pages a lot of scrolling or using the TOC to determine whether comments have been recently added.

I would like the TOC of any page that contains a Discussion section to indicate in the Discussion hyperlink entry of the TOC, the date of the latest entry in the discussion.

For example in the TOC:
either:    Discussion/Comments (latest comment - 01May08)
or even:  Discussion/Comments (latest comment 5 days ago)

How would I go about achieving this, given my knowledge of PHP and DW is very rudimentary?

How about opening a feature request at the bug tracker of the discussion plugin?

Thanks for your prompt response.

I attempted opening a feature request at the bug tracker of the discussion plugin as you suggested.  I had to register with Flyspray to be able to set up the feature request.

Once the request had been submitted (#1394), I got an almost instant response from Andi:
please report in the author's bug tracker: http://bugs.chimeric.de/index.php?project=6&switch=1&…

I believe this may be, although I'm not certain, your website?  Anyway, to allow me to pose the feature request a third time at this URL I need to register yet again at Flyspray.  This all seems to be getting too incestuous for me.  Help, please !!

Sorry, next time I provide an URL.

My bug tracker allows anonymous opening of tasks, no need to register ;-). Here's the right URL: http://bugs.chimeric.de/index.php?project=9&switch=1&…

Chi I copied the URL from the discussion plugin site, could you check that the correct url is listed there?
