Deprecation Error

Subject: Deprecation Error
Hi,

I installed dokuwiki-2008-05-05 on my web server(Apache 2.0, PHP-5.2), but I am getting several lines of deprecation error on the webpage. It is only allowing me to create a login and I only get errors afterwards.

The error I am getting is:
Deprecated: get_magic_quotes_gpc() [function.get-magic-quotes-gpc]: This function is deprecated and removed in PHP 6. See http://php.net/{migrate}#get_magic_quotes_gpc for details. in /var/www/html/mathsoftware/inc/init.php on line 112

Deprecated: Assigning the return value of new by reference is deprecated in /var/www/html/mathsoftware/inc/parserutils.php on line 208

Deprecated: Assigning the return value of new by reference is deprecated in /var/www/html/mathsoftware/inc/parserutils.php on line 211

Any suggestions?

Are you sure you are using PHP 5.2? This looks like you are running PHP6 for which DokuWiki was not tested.

yes, I have no idea why is it saying PHP 6 here. I installed PHP 5.2 successfully before installing dokuwiki.

any other suggestion?
