I am having trouble installing the math plugin. I have compiled and installed the mimetex.cgi in /Library/WebServer/CGI-Executables/ (OS X's version of were to keep cgi scripts that are globally available) as instructed by the mimetex web site. If I point my broweser to
http://ipaddress/cgi-bin/mimetex.cgi?x^2+y^2 it indeed renders the appropriate equation in the browser as expected. So I know my mimetex.cgi is working properly.
I have also installed the mathmulti plugin using the plugin management screen of my admin index on the wiki. The info claims I have a usable plugin and is active.
When I add <math>x^2+y^2</math> to a page all I get when I view the page is a little blue square with a question mark.
I suspect it is because the mathmulti plugin can not find my cgi-bin script.
I have tried to add various paths to the mathmulti section of the configuration section to no avail. I have tried:
../cgi-bin/
/cgi-bin/
http://ipaddress/cgi-bin/
~/../cgi-bin/
and probably 10 more.
I don't understand what the path means. Global path? Local path... but then from which directory? I figure I will have more and more scripts so I would really like to figure out how to define the mimetex.cgi path.
Thanks in advance for any clues,
mike
