I am using the dokuwiki template in combination with the Indexmenu plugin to get a nice navigation sidebar. I've been asked to make a border around it to make it stand out more. I can get a top and bottom border with horizontal rules but how could I get one all the way around? I've tried inserting the indexmenu into a table, and this worked except it isn't the width of the sidebar and when the tree grows it does not extend with it (Even if it did I don't think it would be pleasant watching it re-size as the tree did).
So is there any way to get a border on it that isn't just a table?
Thanks in advance.

You need css to set a border and a fixed size on the dokuwiki__aside div, for instance:
#dokuwiki__aside > .pad { height: 400px; border: 1px solid silver; }
You would want some padding: padding: 6px;
And you would probably want to give the sidebar more room, which you could do in style.ini.
You can set the css values in conf/userstyle.css.
The developer of the template often comments here, so maybe she will see this and give you a better solution.

I don't see to have a conf/userstyle.css, is that something i need to create or is that something i should have? Thank you for the help!

Create if it isn't there.
