How do you widen the default width of the wiki?

I just upgraded to the most recent version of Dokuwiki, and I am suddenly having a format problem. I had the __site_width__ function in the style.ini file set to 100% (yes, I know some people hate that). However, after upgrading, I replaced the style.ini file, the userstyle.ini file AND the style.local.ini file with the __site_width__ = "100%" value, and the entire contents of the site are still crushed down into a narrow window in the middle of the screen.

This is causing all kinds of formatting problems, including stretched out justified text, horizontal scroll bars on boxes and windows and paragraphs which look broken and clunky.

Has the author disabled the ability to widen the wiki?

There is no such thing as a "userstyle.ini". Just putting it into style.local.ini should be fine.

Nope.
I guess that must be some kind of caching issue. Try purging the cache.

Just to be sure: Where did you put the style.local.ini? And can you paste its contents to double check there isn't a typo?

Here's the style.local.ini contents:

[replacements]

__site_width__ = "100%"

I put the style.local.ini file in the /conf/ directory along with the style.ini, in which I placed to following line:

__site_width__ = "100%"

I also tried purging the cache, but still no luck. Also, I meant "userstyle.css" not "ini."

I think, you need to put style.local.ini into "../Sites/wiki/lib/tpl/dokuwiki/style.local.ini" if you make use of the dokuwiki-template.

I've changed the parameter in both files. No Luck.
Its a fresh install without any plugins.

Tried on more than one Computer to be sure that it isn't a cacheproblem. Any ideas ?

Which files do you mean by "both files"? It should only be changed in one file.

Have you tried purging the cache? (That's DokuWiki's cache, not the browser's.)

Thx for the answer. The "touch conf/local.php"-thing solved my problem. Havent read anything about this cache.

I changed both local.style.ini and style.ini. Just to be sure ;)

Is there a good way to change the __site_width__ only at one page? I have on one page a very wide table, and it would help me a lot, if it would be possible to change the __site_width__ there from 75em to 100%.
