Hi all, nice to see that dokuwiki is still around - and it is getting better and better :)
I want to try if I can build a simple task distribution tool for a group with dokuwiki. With several plugins I got quite near to what I need, but I am still not where I would like to go, so I am asking here for some hints.
Description:
* 1) A group of users has the right to create proposals via a form - looks like this can be done with the very interesting Bureaucracy Plugin, a fantastic tool that expands dokuwiki in all directions, simply brilliant.
* 2) Other users should be able to put a TAG of any kind or a token on this proposal - could be a simple text I WILL DO IT or some button with the same meaning. All users can see this tag.
* 3) on a special page all users or optionally only a group of moderators can see a list of all proposals with all tags from people that "will do it" - could be a nice table, the final design is not important right now I am able to customize it in a final step, if the basic functionality is working.
* 4) this feature should be well integrated with the dokuwiki permission system, so it can be used in closed groups and with different rights for "proposers" and "doers" - like proposers can not see tags of doers and can not write new wiki pages, only generate new proposals via a form. OR / AND maybe NOT all "doers" can see each others tags, but moderators can see them and can see the big list of all proposals and all doers. Having all the flexibility is king here, so keeping it at an abstract level will be great.
* 5) it should be possible to generate custom views and reports of the collected proposal-vs-doers data, to see changes over time (yes, I like CHARTS :)
The very simple version of this is: just let users write new wiki pages as proposals and other users add their comment on the same page, what works right now - however I do not see how to get a list of all new proposals with all comments (or tags or "I do it") in a nice table or how to do a
select * from proposals where doers = andrew and martin
Do you get me? I would build this kind of stuff with some web framework normally, but I see the potential that I can get this done with dokuwiki within a few hours and not days or weeks reinventing all the wheels...
I am able to dive into the code myself, but it would be great if anyone could give me some hints before I start to study the dokuwiki code.
yes, of course it would be extremely pleasing if the right combo of plugins could bring me in a much shorter time near a result than it would take to dig into the dokuwiki details.
I have the suspicion that with the Bureaucrazy and the Structured Data Plugin this must be possible somehow, but maybe there is some other plugin that is much closer to what I want?
I was looking at several tagging and voting implementations, but hit the wall with all of them too early...
What do you think? what would you recommend to look at? Did I miss a great plugin that does exactly what I want? No, I do not believe in miracles (ok, maybe a little bit), but I did not test all the plugins, that would take weeks... pleeease, push me!
Thank you very much for your attention,
have a nice day,
