Hi there,
when testing my DokuWiki installation with
http://tools.pingdom.com its performance is pretty okay. The site reccomends the following for still better performance:
Leverage browser caching
The following cacheable resources have a short freshness lifetime. Specify an expiration at least one week in the future for the following resources:
- 2 images and one CSS and JS file from used template are listed
Specify a Vary: Accept-Encoding header
The following publicly cacheable, compressible resources should have a "Vary: Accept-Encoding" header:
- Also CSS and JS files from my template are listed.
If I redo the test with "dokuwiki" template enabled "Leverage browser caching" lists 9 images from dokuwiki/images and lib/images subfolder.
How can I accomplish this recommendations? I read about enabling those stuff in a .htaccess file but obviously other ressources are properly cached so I wonder if this is a thing the maintainer of the template has to care about or if this can be activated "globally" somehow.
Thanks for some insight.
