Thanks for the reply ach, I have been using Doku for only a few days now, and as the lights come on as I use it, it's a joy to use, and it feels reliable and intuitive. In other words I love it. The control is in our hands with this, and it appears it's what we make of it, it can be a simple documentation wiki, and from what I am seeing it most certainly can be a robust collaborative tool for an all purpose wiki full of images and fact based historical articles on any subject.
Where my confusion lies, at first anyway was the reviews I read about DokuWiki, many of them seemed to make that blanket statement, "DokuWiki is a great wiki engine for document sharing", but the reviewer would not go much past that statement, leading me to believe at first DokuWiki was primarily a document engine for tech specs and articles and software development sharing.
But as I have used Doku over the last few days, I am pretty happy.
Thanks for all your hard work in making this what it is.
Here is our test Doku for now, it's just a pool of nothing right now, with images uploaded on a whim and text thrown in for nothing, and the Arctic template, I am trying many templates and plugins right now, just trying to get a feel for the software.
