nk I am currently running an older DokuWiki installation, 2013-12-08 "Binky". I am actually quite happy with the features/performance so I don't really want to go through the trouble of upgrading. However, I am worried that there might be some unfixed security holes in such an old version. Are there any known problems with this version? And if I do upgrade, how complicated would an upgrade to the latest version (2015-08-10a?) be? Can I just download the normal files, upload them and be done with it? Do I need to update auth/syntax plugins? Thanks
virk I am just a user and not an expert. But have a closer look at the upgrade-plugin, which makes updating very easy.
lms23 have a look https://www.dokuwiki.org/install:upgrade 1. backup 2. update wiki 3. update plugins 4. remove old files
fuchs-14 first thing before upgrade: check the requirements (esp PHP version) This release now requires PHP 5.3.3 at least if its still fine, backup and update
