Yes.
There are several ways.
1. Customise the CSS used in the search results using
conf/userstyle.css (most of the classes used in the results page begin with
search_), see also the
usercss plugin.
2. Customise the search results (
inc/search.php documentation is in the comments). Note that's a "hack", that won't survive upgrades.
3. Customise the AJAX used in search (
lib/scripts/qsearch .js). Another "hack".
4. Customise the layout of the search results (
lib/tpl/dokuwiki/css/_search.css, easier to just add/over-ride with
userstyle.css unless page speed is critical. Best done in a custom version of the theme.
5. Use a plugin to enhance/modify search, e.g.
searchresults,
6. Use a plugin to modify style, e.g.
styler(??)
7. You can also use a third party search application with a custom search page with a form for queries and a frame for results e.g.
recoll and
recoll-webui to search
data/pages and data/media (e.g. pdfs and other documents). I use
topdirs = /var/www/$DokuWiki/data/pages /var/www/$DokuWiki/data/media
If you choose not to use a plugin or
conf/userstyle.css I'd suggest you create your own theme and customise the
CSS and layout of the search results. Easiest is to just base it on an existing theme.
Hacks are to avoided if possible. I've only ever used
conf/userstyle.css and a html form to customise search results.
Which one best suits your use case will depend on what you use (DokuWiki theme) and what you want...
Which theme do you use?
Can you give us an idea of what how you want the result to look like?
