Interesting. Agreed that DokuWiki combines
css files, and, separately, combines
js files. Though in practise it's actually significantly faster than WordPress as they all come from the same source - and more secure, as WordPress doesn't provide integrity hashes for external scripts (https is not a substitute for SRI). Not that a few microseconds shaved wouldn't be appreciated...
I don't
know why DokuWiki combines those resources - I
suspect it's to avoid reloading a page when you want to edit it (functionality that WordPress doesn't require (and I'm curious to know why).
While DokuWiki's sometimes employ external javascripts - it's uncommon not to see WordPress sites that do.
tl;dr? Not easy (for me) to compare any wiki with a CMS :)
I'm not sure what you mean by "index page". The "home page" or the search results page?
