Hey everyone,
trying to set up dokuwiki on Ubuntu 16.04 LTS with php7.0 and apache2 (In a virtual machine with bridged network adapter, if that's of any relevance) following
these instructions until I hit step 10, run install.php.
I had to run:
sudo a2dismod mpm_event
sudo a2enmod mpm_prefork
sudo service apache2 restart
but then, I was able to reach a test.php placed in
/var/www/dokuwiki/ containing
<?php
phpinfo();
?>
via http://the-server's-ip/test.php (navigated to using a browser on the host machine I run the virtual ubuntu server on). It seems to produce reasonable output.
Also, navigating to http://the-server's-ip/doku.php looks right but says "This topic does not exist yet". index.php seems to redirect to doku.php. feed.php is empty but offers to subscribe to an RSS feed.
The same symptoms prevail when I reboot the server itself (not only apache), and also when I wipe /var/www/dokuwiki and set up using the old stable or the master.
As a desperate measure, I tried follwing
these instructions linked
here and added this bit
<FilesMatch "\.ph(p[2-6]?|tml)$">
SetHandler application/x-httpd-php
</FilesMatch>
to my /etc/apache2/apache2.conf, with no cahnge after restarting.
I've arrived at the end of my internet research skills, can anyone assist me?
