Brilliant.
I'm glad you were able to sort it out.
Did you work out how to add images? I simply use media manager while in the edit function. Once you upload the file, it will show up as a blue linked filename. Click on that link to specify the embed options you want.
Namespaces in Dokuwiki help organize the data, so you will find "root:" "wiki:" and "playground:". you will need to make sure that you are uploading the media into the same namespace that you have created the files in, otherwise the media won't be available to that namespace. (my syntax for an internal link into a namespace was Description so all my media would have to be in the namespace "hardware:"
Hit upload, then click the filename after it uploads successfully.
Then insert after you have chosen your embed options
After all that I found that I misread your question. I use photobucket.com to store the images, then use their "IMG" supplied url and paste it into the document.

The internal links have to be formed like ths:
Description of text file for Humans
==== SOFTWARE ==== << this may not work.
Try this instead...
**Software**
* ADP
* Axcient
* Northstar
* Sage
* Spiceworks
* Trend Micro Antivirus
