nosbig I have several plugins that I would wish to provide documentation for end-users, such as Wrap and Pagelist. In the past, I have created those pages in :wiki and linked the pages at the top of :wiki:syntax. Of course, as :wiki is a system-provided namespace, all of my documentation disappeared during the next version upgrade. Would it be possible for syntax plugin authors to develop documentation for end-users to be inserted dynamically into the :wiki or some other namespace? Alternatively, can Dokuwiki have a mechanism for providing a :syntax namespace or a configuration option for the target for the "syntax" link on the top of every edit page? Thanks, Rob
turnermm Of course, as :wiki is a system-provided namespace, all of my documentation disappeared during the next version upgrade. This doesn't seem to make sense. Upgrades don't delete namespaces.
andi Well, the syntax page has a section "Syntax Plugins" which links each plugin to it's documentation on dokuwiki.org already. Of course you can also keep doing what you did and provide your own documentation (in a different namespace). You can also adjust the editor's intro text and link to your own documentation from there as described at https://www.dokuwiki.org/localization#changing_some_localized_texts_and_strings_in_your_installation
