Hi all,
On our DokuWiki we are using a lot of tables that we would like to be as pretty and interactive as possible. For instance, we would like to use the column visibility toggle option that allows the user to hide certain columns. Our DW is using the Bootstrap 3 template.
We are currently facing some obstacles that I would like to get help on:
1. A possible formatting conflict between the table and TOC. If the table is inserted without using the datatables plugin (the <datatables> tag), everything looks fine. However, with the <datatables> tag, the search and page fields get shifted by TOC producing an unsightly vertical gap between those fields and the table itself, see images here:
https://github.com/LotarProject/dokuwiki-plugin-datatables/issues/34. How can this be avoided?
2. Since datatables is included in the Bootstrap 3 template, there seems to be no reason to use the plugin. Could somebody explain how to use the additional options without relying on the <datatables> tag? E.g., insert buttons?
3. Datatables library includes a "colvis" button for toggling column visibility. The required js script is not enabled in the Datatables plugin by default but I managed to get it running by adding it inside the Action.php file. My question is, if we don't use the plugin but just the Bootstrap 3 template, what should I change to enable this?
Thanks in advance!
