I want to use dokuwiki as a newsfeed with the blog-plugin and imported some older news. Now: how can I change the creation date to get the one the article was created outside of dokuwiki?
This function could be also useful when importing blog entries from other engines.

This dates are handled by the meta data.
You could work in a plugins with it with that event :
'TPL_METAHEADER_OUTPUT'
and this function :
p_set_metadata($ID, $meta);

Is this a new function?
The meta-plugin doesn't use it to set the meta data ...
Nevertheless, the meta plugin is one part of the solution:
∗ When creating the page you can use the ~~META: date created = YYYY-MM-DD HH:MM~~ to set the desired date.
∗ Unfortunately the blog plugin saves the existing meta dates into it's own index file and doesn't update them afterwards. But this index file cdata.idx will be (re-)created if it is not there. So to force an update of the dates (and authors), just delete the index-file and the meta data is reread.
