chris-walker Hi, I have just set up a new instance of Dokuwiki, 2018-04-22b. I set a custom logo by placing the new png in the wiki folder. The logo appears correctly when logged in on the start page. It does not display on the login page though. Instead an icon suggesting the link to the image isn't available is displayed instead. The path to the image appears the same on both the start page and login screen - http://<ip>/lib/exe/fetch.php?media=logo.png. What could cause this?
andi Check your ACLs. ACLS apply to media, too. Your logo is most likely placed in the wiki namespace and that is probably not set to be readable by unauthenticated users. Since the wiki namespace does not contain any secret information (only stuff about DokuWiki itself like the syntax page) it's safe to open up reading for this namespace to anonymous users (@ALL).
estjoe I have recently solved the same problem here with this solution: Delete the new logo from the root and 'wiki:' both locations in the Media Manager. The only place you must have it is: lib/tpl/dokuwiki/images/logo.png
