this is solved. it was my fault for not creating template page through wiki itself. im new here and cant figure out how to mark this as solved, so my apologies.
While setting up a wiki, I need users to only be able to create new pages using an upload form which has been created using bureaucracy. However, I do not want users to be able to edit the page with the form on it. To do this, I tried to put the page with the form in a different nameplace where the users only have read access, but not edit or upload access, and the pages to be created are in a different nameplace where users have upload permissions. So, the form looks like this:-
So, upload form in namespace "uploader" with only read permissions is as follows:-
====== Upload ======
----
<form>
action template memotpl.txt memodump:%Y: :
fieldset "Info"
textbox "Subject"
date "Date" "=@YEAR@-@MONTH@-@DAY@" @
textbox "Brief Description"
textbox "Keywords"
fieldset "Select & Upload Files"
file "Upload file:"
submit "Upload"
</form>
However, when i try and use the page to upload, the wiki throws up an error:
"Could not read template "uploader:memotpl.txt". Maybe it doesn't exist or you have no read permissions?"
Any ideas how to achieve this or what I am doing wrong? any help would be greatly appreciated.
P.S.: This is my first time using dokuwiki and I would like to thank all the wonderful people who have helped create the wiki and the plugins which make it so easy for a noob like me to set up a project I have been thinking about for the longest time, but haven't ventured to set up because of a lack of programming knowledge.
