I have pages that have a relatively standard section at the top which is mostly HTML comments with a few plugin statements for things such as section toggle buttons. It works in DW Editor (I have HTMLok set to true) and the Pages have always displayed as expected. But once I edit the page in CKGedit it has 'normalised' the spacing and the page displays the comments. Even having straightened things out in DW Editor I can't seem to mend it - although not a solution I wanted to see what would happen.
I am obviously doing something non-standard that CKGedit is processing. I don't think it's worth trying to resolve as the method I have been using was obviously flawed. But for the record, and in case there is something to address:
A Page before CGEditing: https://www.screencast.com/t/JMoZRe1EQKoS
And after CKGEditing: https://www.screencast.com/t/hSddGGsXr0M
The 'header section': https://www.screencast.com/t/lh7E4RUugF
Header on loading in CKGEDdit: https://www.screencast.com/t/pkjkkCzNJq
I realise on close inspection that CKGEdit has turned the double dashes into m dash and this is why it is no longer an HTML comment. So I will need to do a global replace. In the longer term perhaps it should not be converting html tags?
I tried setting the CKGEdit HTMLok flag to TRUE in addition to the DW flag but It didn't seem to make any difference.
So my question is this:
What is the recommended method for inserting hidden comments when using CKGedit and that will be unaffected if DW Editor is used.
