Hi there,
My name is Florian and I am from Hamburg, northern Germany. I am working as a project engineer in plant engineering and order fulfillment at a middle-sized plant construction and engineering company. I got to know wikis as a productive tool for knowledge aggregation in several postgraduate e-learning courses.
My company's IT department thinks the best tool for knowledge management is carving stone plates (or having office files on the team drive as an alternative). ;-) So looking for an easy to use and administer wiki I stumbled over DokuWiki. The use case is an internal knowledge base for my department (with an option for a larger user group). I now have a prototype up running with the "stick-version" on an old notebook connected to our LAN. Currently I am exploring the option of having "intelligent" diagrams/ image maps for (process) flow diagrams, mindmaps and the like. In addition, I am wondering if I can somehow integrate (engineering) calculations into wiki pages, but this is something for the future.
Besides plant engineering and project management I am “professionally interested” in “learning organizations”/ knowledge management and organization development as well as change management. In my ("Corona-free") spare time, I enjoy dancing Salsa and Tango, travelling, going to the fitness club or just being "lazy" with a good read.
So long,
Florian
