trailjeep Sounds like an incompatible plugin you'll probably have to disable all then add back one at a time to find it. There are other threads discussing the issue. If you can't reach admin menu you'll have to edit plugins.local.conf manually. See also: https://forum.dokuwiki.org/d/17863-quick-reminder-what-to-do-when-a-plugin-doesnt-work-on-hogfather/2
trailjeep Try following this thread: https://forum.dokuwiki.org/d/17906-hogfather-update-leaves-a-white-screen
stararmy What if it's a caching issue? Do you use a CDN like cloudflare? Maybe try clearing your browser cache for your site? Also, if you install a new dokuwiki instance on your server does the tool menu appear normally?
trailjeep stararmy Good "cache" maybe try DokuWiki cache also deleting everything in data/cache/* I think I read something about that from the bootstrap3 author, but I can't find it now. Also in your browser go-to yoururl/lib/exe/css.php?purge=true and same for js.php
hfischer zcom Just on our system this happened today. We found out, that our theme need jquery, which was switched out. Try in "conf/local.php" set up $conf['defer_js'] = 0; .This loads jquery before it will be used.
uklatt Same here - problem solved. Could this adjustment be done automatically through the upgrade process? Uwe
turnermm According to what I've read, the defer_js option will be discontinued. So, you should try to determine which plugins are causing the issues, because when this happens, you won't have a way to fix your problems. If you determine which plugins are the problem, file a bug report for the plugin. If it turns out that it is not a plugin problem, file a bug report with dokuwiki on the dokuwiki issues page: https://github.com/splitbrain/dokuwiki/issues
