I have my SAVEDIR set to an absolute path outside the web-server - all the permissions are correct, and this has worked for quite some time. The reason? To separate DATA and DOKUWIKI for backups and security.
I have just done the Hogfather upgrade - which all went well (Thank you!)
So I am checking the wiki health and... I note that the DATA folder contains a conf folder - which has old versions of almost all of the webroot/conf files. The webroot/conf files have all been updated today. The SAVEDIR/conf folder has lots of old config files - many with small differences.
It's worse then that Jim, it's dead! - well, not really, but I do note that changes to webroot/conf/local.php and other .local.conf files are ignored - the wiki us using the old savedir/conf configuration.
Surely this will be a source of subtle bugs - e.g. settings like $conf['passcrypt'] .
I think there is a problem with storing non-local conf in savedir?
