The more I use wikis, the more I am amazed that the default visualization structure people want/use is a tree. At work I use Confluence and they have the tree built into the sidebar (with a couple options). In Dokuwiki, people often ask about a tree in the sidebar and there are several plugins that enable auto-generated trees based on page structure.
But a wiki is fundamentally a network. I've often desired a way to visualize the connections between my notes (pages) and be able to use this picture to easily see where thoughts aggregate. I found grapher.php, but the usage is too clunky to use for quick refactoring of ideas and their links.
Would there be any interest in turning grapher (https://github.com/splitbrain/dokuwiki-grapher) into a plugin? One that could embed a picture into the current page? I remember reading somewhere that ConnectedText (http://connectedtext.com) has a graph that can be adjusted. I would love to be able to see notes connected to the current note a few levels away. I'd love to be able to restrict to a namespace. I'd love to be able to look at the whole wiki, or several namespaces.
Anyway, just dreaming. We have tree visualizers all over the place, but to make a network more practical, I think we need a grapher for Dokuwiki!
