I provide a family calendar, visible from different machines and different OSs (including 2 varieties of Windows). A web-based solution seemed the most obvious one, so for some time now I've run davcal within DW. I run DW for my use and for various family resources so it seems the sensible place to put it. I'm in the process of migrating from CentOS 7 to CentOS 8, and consequently from Frusterick Manners/Vector to Greebo/Bootstrap3. It seemed sensible to review the calendar provision at the same time.
I've not looked at iCal, minical or monthcal. I've not tried with the native Thunderbird's calendar since I'd guess there would be nothing but pain trying to get the Winboxes to talk to it!

Right, I've had a look at the three plugins you suggest.
ical has "This extension has not been updates in over 2 years ..." and it's not clear what sort of display it generates. At first glance monthcal seems to only be a display of the calendar, with no events at all. Minical requires you to mouseover a day to see the events.
