I was just speaking as a community member and trying to save Andi some time. Anyway, if plugins haven't been updated 8 months after the release, it seems unlikely that they are being maintained at all. Plugins that aren't maintained belong in some archive for people using old versions and are simply a hazard at this point like I said in my thread suggestion filtering out old plugins to stop people from accidentally killing their wikis like I did when I accidentally clicked the wrong plugin's install button in the extension manager.
I agree with Turner, having been a member of this forum for a long time, it seems like package managers and Synology specifically have been a recurring theme that members come to report problems with, and introduces an unnecessary third party middleman to the installation which results in various issues. It's always better to just install Dokuwiki on its own if your server environment supports it.
The question is: How do we get more admins on board with the current version? Are there specific add-ons that people really need that we should update? Is it a communication issue?
