I am working on setting up a company intranet, hosted on our local network. A WYSIWYG editor is essential for our use case, and CKGEdit has the best UI and additional plugins. However, CKGEdit crashes fatally every time I try to create an internal media link.
Problem Summary:
When editing a page and creating a link to internal media:
- With the file browser set to ckgedit, the filebrowser window shows up blank. No files are visible and I can't click anything. Uploads do not function.
- With the file browser set to DW, I can see my files, browse, and upload, but can't create any links.
Whenever I click the "back" button on my browser (only way to navigate away from the file browser in either case) CKGEdit disappears until I restart the server (the edit window is replaced with a window with no text formatting or edit buttons).
My Configuration:
Server: Windows Server 2019
Host: IIS 10
Dokuwiki: Release 2020-07-29 "Hogfather"
CKGEdit: Latest from Extension Manager, NIX style = true.
When installing CKGEdit, I received an error that the symbolic links couldn't be created. I uninstalled CKGEdit to work on other aspects of my set up, and re-installed it last week. I received no error on the second installation, and created symbolic links using cmd as administrator per the instructions. No luck - still get crashes every time I try to create a link from CKGEdit as summarized above.
As I'm using IIS, I'm assuming the .htaccess files do nothing(?). I've configured IIS to deny URL sequences as per these instructions. My IUSR and IIS_IUSRS groups have write permissions on the data file, so I believe IIS should have proper access to the data file. But something is happening with CKGEdit where it can't, even with the links in the /userfiles folder. On top of that, the fatal error makes my whole project a non-starter at the moment. I am very new to all of this, and appreciate any help that can be offered! Happy to provide additional configuration or de-bugging information but will need a walk through on how to get it. I've tried some on my own and don't see much information coming up in the logs or in the browser console.
Thanks!
