When using a formatting button, e.g. to make a word bold, I can’t undo this change by pressing Ctrl+z. In certain cases this also makes it impossible to undo/redo any of the changes done before using the formatting button.
Is this a known limitation/bug? Any way to change/fix it?
(I’m using Firefox ESR. Ctrl+z works fine in the editor until I use the editor toolbar.)
Simple example
- Edit a page
- Write a word
- Make it bold (by using the editor toolbar)
- Press Ctrl+z
Expected result: the bold syntax gets removed
Actual result: the bold formatting syntax stays (→ Ctrl+z has no effect)
Complex example with data loss
- Edit a page
- Write one paragraph
- Write a second paragraph
- Delete the first paragraph
- Make a word in the second paragraph bold (by using the editor toolbar)
- Press Ctrl+z two times
Expected result: first the bold formatting syntax should disappear, then the deleted first paragraph should reappear
Actual result: the bold formatting syntax stays, and it seems to be impossible to recover the deleted first paragraph (→ Ctrl+z has no effect, and the previously deleted text can’t be recovered)
