Hello all,
I wanted to reach out to you to see if I may be able to get a bit of assistance for my situation. I am using the catlist plugin for my company wiki page and running into a bit of a tricky situation and my searches all have come up in vain.
I currently have this in a __footer.txt file in the dokuwiki root page.
<html><hr style="height:4px; width:100%; border-width:1px; color:black; background-color:black"></html>
<catlist -displayList -sortbytype -sortAscending -titleHead:"Back" -noAddPageButton -smallhead>
<WRAP right>
{{NEWPAGE>@NS@:@PAGE@#__template.txt}}
</WRAP>
DISCUSSION
What this does is it allows for the new page button to appear at the bottom of every page and subsequently, once someone adds a new page, it references a page template, creates the page and then adds the index from catlist at the bottom of that page. This works well however I have realized it is not going to scale for our company size. An example is this :
Main page called Templates
Two sub pages within Templates. One is called Customer, the other called Core.
Inside Customer subpage, two additional subpages were created. Subpage A and Subpage B for example
Subpage a has 7 other subpages, subpage b has 2 additional subpages.
Now here is my issue. When I navigate to Subpage A, in the footer, I see Subpage A in bold with 7 links below it and then also see Subpage B in bold with its 2 links presumably because they both are contained under the main “Customer” namespace. Pretty much every avenue I have tried won’t work because they all mention to use the namespace name and as you can see with dynamic page creation, its impossible to pre-define that. I tried -exclupage under catlist but that only solves the issue of the 7 and 2 subpages not showing up but still shows that there is a subpage b and would list the other 50 pages created under Customer.
Proposed solution for my situation : Is there a flag I could add to catlist plugin or another plugin that would only display child pages or even just what is on that page ? Is this something that is possible at all ? I have tried indexmenu,dir,nspages,simplenavi and a few others but none of them seem to just display child links without also displaying the parent links.Any help would be tremendously appreciated. I am new to dokuwiki and have worked my way through to this final problem so please excuse my ignorance :-)
Screenshot kind of showing the issue. The new page button automatically gets added to the footer thus allowing for a relatively dynamic setup. The index menu shown is what this issue represents. I see both subpages and their subpages which will just become tremendously large when I have 50 pages under the namespace.
