Many thanks to the developers of the Prosemirror plugin for Dokuwiki !
It makes a huge difference in ease-of-editing for those who are not familiar with the DW syntax.
I've been using it for a while now - but the early versions did crash quite a bit.
The new version (Jan 2022), although still in beta, seems much more stable, and is really very, very useful.
