I use DokuWiki for my blog (remember those?!). For a looong time I used a database-driven system. When I exported my database blog entries to text files, I didn't realize DokuWiki would use the file creation time for all the text files. Luckily I had exported them with the date prefixed to the file, like 2004-06-24-my-first-post.txt
.
I couldn't figure out how to manipulate file creation date/time on Linux so I wrote a little Python script that changes the system clock temporarily and makes copies of all my DokuWiki blog text files.
