Hi 🙂
I use the "dokuwiki" template that I modified using the "Template Style settings" panel fro the admin tools.
In addition to that, I replaced 3 images files in
/dokuwiki/lib/tpl/dokuwiki/images
with custom images in order to have them match what I need. These files are:
- apple-touch-icon.png
- favicon.ico
- logo.png
Now, upon any update of the wiki, these files are reverted to the default ones and I need to replace them again with my custom images.
I was wondering if there was an easy way to make my changes permanent. I did the following:
- Made a copy of the "dokuwiki" folder in /dokuwiki/lib/tpl/ and called it "myCustomTemplate"
- selected "myCustomTemplate" as the default template in the Configuration Manager (configuration Settings->Basic->template=myCustomTemplate)
- repeated all the modifications I had made in "Template Style settings" for "dokuwiki" to "myCustomTemplate"
Now it looks all good (the same way as it used to), but I wonder if from now on changes will survive wiki updates or if the image files will be reverted to the default ones anyways.
Is there any other thing I should consider with how I tried to set this up (Am I missing any potential problem)?
Thank you very much in advance for your help and advice.
Best,
