Boostrap 3 template and discussions

Hello, Bootstrap 3 template give a button wich giving possibility to create simple page for discuss on any page of a wiki.
There is any way to configure a model for every discuss page created by anyone ? 😅

I'm searching an alternative for activating the "discussion" plugin inside all "discussion pages" created by any user with boostrap 3 template. 😀

Exemple for what i'm searching :

1 : this is the icon of bootstrap 3 discussions feature, wich purpose a link for a page who doesn't exist yet

2 : Moving directly discussion plugin inside this page, when a page is created on wiki it's create the discussion page with title of article and "Discussion" words, not on the footer of all articles. (Automatic)

3 : The discussion page link give by boostrap 3 doesn't exist, but when there is a title, and the discussion plugin is activated for every page, it showing this, that's what i'm searching, by default, with automation, and no possibilty to anyone to interact with theses discussions pages like any other page, but only with the comment plugin, wich is disabled everywhere else.

To show discussion box only on discussion pages put this line of code into /dokuwiki/conf/userscript.js:

if ( JSINFO['id'].split(':').slice(-1)[0] != 'discussion' ) { jQuery("div.comment_wrapper").remove(); }

Create this file if it does not yet exist. (I tested this, it should work.)

Activate discussion plugin on all pages "automatic" and disable the option "visibilityButton" in the configurations (/doku.php?id=start&do=admin&page=config#plugin____discussion____plugin_settings_name).
Now, discussion boxes (sections) should only be shown on "discussion" pages.
(You may want to adopt the newpagetemplate plugin to further control the layout of your discussion pages.)

I've tried and added your javascript in /conf/userscript.js.
Unfortunatly, discussion module is still present on all pages... 😅

Now it's possible to have discussion hidden on all pages, but it's only visible on this specific url : https://pepinature.org/discussion

But you can show here here, there is no discussion boxes :

Or any other pages when i click on the bootstrap discuss logo et create a page.

Okay, sorry, it might not work with your template then. I tested it on DokuWiki "Hogfather", "Sprintdoc" Template. My solution needs DokuWiki Page IDs and JSINFO variable submission for it to work. This should be standard but maybe not with your template. Sorry.

Okay, I see. Your discussion pages are in the discussion namespace. Change the code as follows and what happens?

... or else try the following even more general code. The following code should work even in complicated namespace/pagename structures, as long as "discussion" occurs anywhere down the line of your page ID/URL (at least once):

if ( !( JSINFO['id'].split(':').includes('discussion') ) ) { jQuery("div.comment_wrapper").remove(); }

Now i'm trying to works with newpagetemplate, but i don't understand everything, without example it's seems being very complex...

I'm searching now to have a replacement page for all discussions pages, like that : https://pepinature.org/discussion/fr/plants/musa/bananier
But with theses settings :
1 : when someone go to discuss boostrap 3 link,
2 : Dokuwiki make automatic new page without need to be edited,
a : First level already writed of this page should be like "Discussion - [Name of previous page]"
b : each page don't share comments, it's separated.
c : after, there is the discussion boxes plugin [Already working ! ^_^ ]

The idea is to have (without need to edit or register a page) :

to (when someone go to boostrap discuss)

Or by example :

It would need to be a namespace template since your namespace is always the same: "discussion". You could use one of these replacement patterns in the title, like Discussion - @!!PAGE@. Since each of your discussion pages has their own ID/URL (like each page they originate from), they should be unique and keep each discussion exclusive to the original page and separated, automatically.

You could use yet another line of javascript code to have the new discussion page created without pressing any button. Just let Javascript do the work for you! Something like this:

What this does, it gives DokuWiki a little timeout (100ms) to load the namespace template and then clicks the save button. But, since the only button it looks for, is the editor save button, it won't interfer with your discussion board. And, yes indeed, it is a little clickbot. 😄

Be careful with the namespace template, I've found that the @CURNS@ macro doesn't work quite as described. Four variants are listed: @CURNS@, @!CURNS@, @!!CURNS@ and @!CURNS!@, but only the first one performs the substitution. The aim is to have the main header on a discussion page as: Discussion for @!CURNS@:@!!PAGE@ but instead I have to use the lowercase only version. Not a show stopper, just a minor bug.

So in essence, just put this oneliner: ====== Discussion - @PAGE@ ====== into your namespace template file __template.txt (two leading underscores) in following directory, like so:

/dokuwiki/data/pages/discussion/__template.txt

And test this. If the page keeps staying open in edit mode, just increase the delay time from 100 to 200 or 300. This depends on your page loading speed. On one click onto your discussion button the page should be created and displayed in one sweep.

And if you haven't done so already, you might need to give your logged in users create permission for the discussion namespace to allow them to create those discussion pages. Which is no worry, because in your case Javascript will hide the editor automatically within a blink of an eye, so noone will be able to do any editing on these pages, anyways.

Chris75 Thanks guys, that's great ! It's almost working !
Templates is now okay, first section level is auto-completed with "discussion - [previous title]".
But there is a last problem, when i'm going to discuss icon on a wiki page, i have to manually clic/touch on "create this page", it's not automatic.
But after that, it's already automatic, page is auto-completed and auto-saved ! 😄

Edit : in fact, there is another problem too. page is auto-completed with "discussion - [previous title]" only with admin account. User account don't and put

<p>
<u>false</u>
</p>

then automatic register it. 😅
An alert give message "error" for pepinature.org.
Maybe it's because ckgedit wysiwyg editor is forced for alls user, but as admin, i'm using standard internal editor...

If the autocomplete does not fire yet, set the timeout to 2000 (two seconds) for testing, and then gradually reduce down to maybe 500. It depends, how fast your template is loaded.

Example:

Yes, you may be right, the problem with your user accounts might not be related to their read/write permissions. I think, you could try to just exclude ckgedit from the discussion namespace with the setting dwedit_ns. It's not needed there anyways.

Public => can't create page but can comment with captcha, i've replaced langage page for advertise they need to subscribe for create any page, including discussions pages 😄
User => can create page, automatic for discussion.
