I'm getting the same issue. Looking at the html of the page where the menu icons should appear when the menu bar for the //smiley// is clicked I see its looking at images like this
https://mydomain.com/lib/images/smileys/icon_cool.gif
this file does not exist in my directory structure, nor in the directory structure of a dokuwiki download I downloaded today.
I've tried a couple of different wikis I have and with different browsers but still get a blank list where previously there were a number of icons.
Looking at the main dokuwiki website, editing a page and inspecting the smiley icons that appear when clicking the icon in the edit menu I see
<button class="pickerbutton" title="8-)" aria-controls="wiki__text"><img src="/lib/images/smileys/cool.svg" alt="" style="height: 16px;"></button>
ie its looking for .svg
files not .gifs
like my installations are
<button class="pickerbutton" title="8-o" aria-controls="wiki__text"><img src="https://mydomain.com/lib/images/smileys/icon_eek.gif" alt="" style="height: 16px;"></button>
The reason for the change from if to svg appears to be described here https://www.dokuwiki.org/devel:releases:refactor2021#from_gif_to_svg_smileys
I'm running
Release 2023-04-04a "Jack Jackrum"
Template v2022-07-27 (stable/20220727)
so in theory I should be using the .svg
smileys but the editor bar thinks otherwise.
I can load
https://mydomain.com/lib/images/smileys/cool.svg
so the file exists and it would appear to be something in the editor.
I've cleared my browser cache and tried different browsers on different PCs but still get the same issue.
Any pointers on where to start looking would be appreciated
I'm using bootstrap template but have switched back to default and it still happens. I've moved userscript.js out and of the default location and tested. There are no console errors either and inspecting and looking at network no 404 page not founds only 200 return codes so no missing files reported there either
