I think I might find myself between a rock and a hard place with this question - or at least between a wiki and a database application.
I need a repository for about 600 short articles (100-1000 words each), which would each have four or five main 'identifiers' (or metrics?)....e.g. Location | Title | Volume No. (ref) | Author | Date.
The Bureaucracy plugin looks like an ideal way to add these articles into the wiki, using the Bureaucracy 'template' method. (I have some experience with this).
But my difficul;ty comes when I want to 'search' and 'list' all articles by a particular author, or all articles related to a particular location (which would probably be the two principle search parameters). Even if that were possible, how to spit them out into a page where each result is a link to the relevant article?
I have a feeling I'm wandering into Struct plugin territory!...but don't have a full understanding of what Struct could do in this scenario. Then again, maybe there's a simpler way of doing it..?
I like the idea of doing this within a wiki, because the wiki would also contain other pages which are more static info. pages, attached to a menu or easily found via the standard search facility.
But I can't think of way to aggregate results from a search of 600+ (and growing) articles.
Ideas or advice welcome.
