wmike Does anyone know if there’s a way to just copy an existing web page into a doku wiki? I have an existing page that I created and I really, really don’t want to have to type it again and re-create all the fonts and formatting from scratch. Thanks, Mike Wheaton
walterbyrd Just put it between <html></html> tags, and make sure you have the "Allow embedded HTML" box checked in the "Editing Settings" in the "Configuration Settings." That's: Admin->Configuration Settings->Editing Settings->Allow embedded HTML-> then make sure the <html></html> tags are in your document. Note: there are some security concerns here. If you are going to use html, you may want to make sure that page can not be edited by a standard user.

You should do this only in a save environment (local network/completely closed wiki) as this opens potential security risks. Whenever possible I'd recommend to omit the htmlenable setting!
yogyog That's: Admin->Configuration Settings->Editing Settings->Allow embedded HTML-> Could this like be put on this page: http://www.dokuwiki.org/syntax#embedding_html_and_php ? It took me ages to find this info out... please?
prx Now time has passed, I would suggest using pandoc to properly convert html to doku pandoc -o out.txt -f html -t dokuwiki file.html
