Hello Dokuwiki users.
I've been using and administrating a big dokuwiki instance (about 1.300 articles) for several years and I missed refactoring capabilities and bulk operations for namespaces. Those would be useful especially when the number of articles keep on growing and it turns out that the namespace structure or hierarchy does not suit the requirements in an ideal way.
I want to mention that there is an open source tool called
RefactorDW that allows administrators to restructure and refactor their dokuwiki article assets in bulk operations.
RefactorDW and has been published under
MIT license at
sourceforge.net:
https://sourceforge.net/projects/refactordw
The following operations are supported:
* Rename/move namespaces
* Merge a namespace into another
* Flatten the hierarchy of a namespace
* solve naming conflicts: create unique names for articles and namespaces)
* Preserve all back links when refactoring
Hope this information helps some people.
Cheers
