SOLVED Need help using tag and tagentry plugins

Hello. I am new to DokuWiki and wish to use it for CMS/knowledge base.

I am having trouble with the tag and tagentry plugins. I have the plugins installed and enabled. Where do I add the tag list to the wiki? The tag list boxes are not showing up when I create/edit pages.

Fist of all you must create a namespace for the tags, for example "tag".

Then create for each tag a subpage in this namespace, for example:

:tag:test
:tag:blog
:tag:dokuwiki
:tag:funny

etc.
On each of this pages add this syntax:

{{topic>tagname}}

After that set in the plugin config the namespace, in which the tags are stored.

As far as I understand the tagentry plugin only shows checkboxes for already existing tags. You tag pages by using the syntax of the tag plugin.

{{tag>tag1 tag2 tag3}}

If you don't have any tagged pages yet, there's no tag index, hence the tagentry plugin doesn't show any checkboxes. So the question is, have you tagged some pages already?

It was a step-by-step guide how to set up the tagentry plugin. I only forget the last sentences "Now the checkboxes should show up under the textarea" :-)

Sorry, no it wasn't a step by step guide to setup the tagentry plugin, you described how to setup tag pages for tag listings for the tag plugin (which is btw. not even needed anymore with the latest version of the tag plugin because the listings are generated automatically when you follow a tag link) - you didn't describe how to tag pages and without actual tags the checkboxes wont show up.

I did as you said in your first reply and that is working. I get the tag entry boxes when creating or editing a page.

Next question - the tags are not displaying as expected after a page is created. I am looking at the demonstration page http://demo.chimeric.de/plugin:tag and it shows the tags at the lower right corner of the page.

What I am getting is a link with the text "tag_tag1_tag2". Clicking on the link gives me a page "Not Found."

What am I missing or not doing correctly?

Never mind, I didn't have the pagelist plugin installed.
