mrsnort I have seen a Wiki (I think it was Doku wiki) in the past that hosts PDF and other types of doco with the Thumbnail as the icon which you can then click on and opens the file. I have a huge folder that i want to upload into my wiki so i can browse them easier and make it central so anyone can read them from the url. Does anyone know if this is a plug-in if so what is it called or how i could implement this feature? Thanks Mrsnort
stinkywinky There is a plugin which can upload a zip-file and extract it on the server. You could collect your documents in a zip and upload many at once. However, there are certain size restrictions for up- and download, see php.ini of your server or search this forum. AFAIK, there is no possibility to browse throug the documents, except using the media manager. Further more, the full text search engine is not able to index these documents. I solved it ike this: 1) uploaded all the documents 2) created a wiki page for each document, containing a copy of the abstract and a link with icon to the document If there are better ideas, I would also be interested...
joemouth Did you every tried docsearch plugin? http://www.dokuwiki.org/plugin:docsearch It works fine for me to get my (text) pdf documents indexed.

f-at-lo What about the filelist plugin (http://foosel.org/snippets/dokuwiki/filelist) ? I use it to "connect" to files and folders with files in my wiki without having to create a wikipage manually for each file. f@lo
