Hello everyone.
I have a little issue understanding an access protocol!
I have my media folder under the data folder.
Im my data folder I have the default .htaccess file rescricting access to all users.
Since this is recursive, if I try to access videos uploaded in my media folder, I bump unto an access warning not letting me reach the file.
Now, is there a way I can make my media folder not "protected" and accessible?
Is there a .htaccess syntax that allows to bypass the permissions heredited from it's parent folder?
I'm simply trying to view a video file inside a dokuwiki page on an intranet based instalation...right now if I upload a video file using the media manager, I can only have a text link to it.... I want to see the movie directly in the page....and I can achive that using the
http://wiki.splitbrain.org/plugin:video and locating my video in my root directory of the wiki, or ani other directory without the .htaccess file, for example.
any idea on a workarround, much appreciated!
Thanks
Lozo
