My dokuwiki data directories are owned by a mixture of www-data:root and www-data:www-data. Some listings are below to show this.
The root group makes it difficult for me to move the savedir into my dropbox, or even to do a simple rsync backup. It would be simpler if I could add my user to the www-data group, and make the www-data group the owner of all these files.
So can I safely change all ownership of the dokuwiki directory to www-data:www-data? I would also recursively change the permissions to 0774. Will this pose any security risks?
