I'm running the actual stable version of dokuwiki (ricewind) on a linux box extended with a bunch of plugins. It was upgraded from the version before via the upgrade-plugin. Everything is running smoothly, but I have a serious problem with images. What I do is:
- upload an image via the media-dialogue (sucessful)
- select the image via click on it's name (sucessful) and selecting the parameters (sucessful)
- within the page (while editing) the expected syntax shows up automatically, i.e. {{wiki:playground:image.jgp?nolink|}}
- I may add a title or not (no difference in behaviour)
- neither preview-mode nor after saving the page the image is displayed, instead I get a symbol for a missing image.
The image shows when I change the formatting to this:
{{wiki:playground:image.jgp?nolink|{{wiki:playground:image.jgp?nolink}}
This works with all options for image inserting that dokuwiki supports out of the box - linking, showing a smaller version etc.. There are no fragments left shown as text like i.e. the two "spare" {{, which I would have expected or maybe text left to the pipe and the pipe itself. Instead, when closing the brackets "correctly" like
{{wiki:playground:image.jgp?nolink|{{wiki:playground:image.jgp?nolink}}}}
I get the two closing brackets "}}" as Text right to the image. When just using the right "working" syntax w/o pipe I end again up with a broken-image-sign. If I check the link on such a broken version (if there is one) it points to
https://wiki.example.com/wiki/lib/exe/fetch.php?media=wiki:playground:image.jgp (where example.com would be my domain).
Making use of this link shows again nothing but a gray overlay.
This seems completely weird to me as the wiki seems to use the imagetitle (according to the syntax) as the imageurl but cannot exist without the correct imagesyntax (that does not work as it should) either. Using the title als title for sure ends up with a nonworking image again.
I'v seen that some people have had this problem in the past, for one the upgrade to ricewind has solved the issue - obviously no option for me as I'm already running ricewind. Another suggestion was to switch the language to english (I'm running German). I did, but no effect. The others have been left out in the cold without a solution.
In this thread
http://forum.dokuwiki.org/thread/432 a user has the very same problem - no answer since beginning of June 2011 (last post in thread).
Basically same problem hier:
http://forum.dokuwiki.org/thread/6841 (April 2011, no solution)
- the image-formatting-syntax is correct accorting to several posts her as well as the FAQ
http://forum.dokuwiki.org/thread/702
- the image itself is there and accessable, as it is displayed correctly when using the sick syntax shown above
- I do not know if I had the problem before the upgrade to ricewind or since the installation of ricewind as I started inserting pictures virtually yesterday. And there it was.
=> help, I'm in trouble! Thank you for reading, your help is very appreciated!
