mizunooto I'm using DW "Angua" on IIS7/Win7. No problem setting up, adding templates and plugins. However, often I will try to save an edited page and it will eventually timeout without saving the page. This happens if the syntax is not correct. When I edit the page and put in correct syntax, it still does not save. This also happens often if I copy and paste text into the page.
turnermm First, to make sure your syntax is correct, press the preview button before saving. And does this happen on all browsers?
mizunooto Behaviour seen with IE9 and Chrome 16. I'm running as localhost\wikiname. Addins - columns, itemtable, linebreak, nspages, pagelist, tag When I try to save the page, it seems to hang localhost completely - I can't load any pages from other local sites either. This happens when I try to preview too. IIS log isn't recording any errors, just the POST statement.
turnermm02 I can't load any pages from other local sites either Then it isn't just Dokuwiki? It's the server setup.
mizunooto Possibly. What happens is that I submit the changed page, and wait... I assume that DocuWiki parses the new page, decides it's bad, and then... what? My server isn't rejecting the page, DocuWiki is, and somehow that's tying up the server. Any ideas?
turnermm I can't load any pages from other local sites either Is this only in connection with DW? Or at any time? You haven't made this clear. Is there a reason why you are using the Windows web server?
mizunooto Once the changed page is submitted, it seems to tie up IIS until it times out. It was also tying up IIS for other locally served websites until I converted the DokuWiki root folder to an IIS application. External pages (not localhost) worked fine. I'm using IIS only because that's what I have - being a more or less traditional MS/Windows user. Would Apache be a better option?
turnermm I'm not sure what is going on behind the scenes, but I have a feeling that you would not have the same problems with apache. I have encountered problems on the Windows web server that just never come up with apache. Which doesn't mean that someone with Windows Server experience wouldn't be able to solve them--but I couldn't.
mizunooto Thanks for your help. I've installed Apache and am trying to get PHP to work with it (more convolutions I'm afraid). May be back later...
winteum I've got exactly the same issue here but with apache. Loop while trying to save and preview when there is some syntax mistake.
mohierf Same problem for me when I try to include this code sample in my page : Optional options: -h, --help print this detailed help screen. Hope it may help ...
