Subject: There seems to be a bug in Orphanmedia Plugin
Hi,
as the author of the plugin prefered, I use the forum for disscussion.
I heard about this plugin from RSS feed an tried it. Nice plugin! If I use all single statements plugin works fine, but if I use the :all statement I got some design problems whithin my wiki. Wiki is up2date using Anteater "a" in combination with latest monobook template.
While using :all statement the left sidebar crashes and is shown over the content.

Hi SteRe,

thanks for downloading my plugin. I'm using  basically the arctic template what owns also a sidebar.
Your reported problem does not appear. However, I will check the code these days, probably I did
some copy/paste/update mistake within the output section.

PS:
On huge Wikis the all function may lead into timeout if it takes more than 60 seconds to loop through all files and folders and link lists several times to evaluate the results. It might be better to use two different pages each with the function you want to use.

cheers

Hi SteRe,

it made me nervous ... I just checked the code ... seems that HTML and me never will become friends ...
I forgot the closing div-tags within all-output (3 times  :'( ). Think that this caused your trouble.

Should be solved now. Please check and let me know if that's the case.

Another thing about orphanmedia:

I added the following statement on a page where I list all missing links (and now missing media as well):

  ~~ORPHANMEDIA:summary~~
  ~~ORPHANMEDIA:missing~~
  ~~ORPHANMEDIA:orphan~~

However, the page lists *all* media files as non-linked and lists dozens of references that are supposedly embedded images but are in fact simple wiki links:

Media list contains: 65 files
Page list contains: 92 files
Found media filename references: 0 in 92 pages
Different media links extracted from pages: 619
Missing media files detected: 534
Found orphan media files: 65

Did I do anything wrong, is there some additional configuration to be done?

Hi,

could you please post which kind of wikilinks are listed in this view?

Maybe some inserted Plugins?

Or is only the counter value wrong?

greets

Apparently, every intra-wiki link is counted two or three times. For example, the link is [[test_link]], then the listing with "~~ORPHANMEDIA:missing~~" consists of:
- "test_link"
- "/test_link"
- "[[test_link"  (sometimes also "[[/test_link")

This is regardless of whether or not these links point to a page or are just placeholder links where no actual page has been created.

Hi,

just tried to reproduce your behaivior but whatever I did I was not able to reproduce it.
You told us the plugin displayed "Found media filename references: 0 in 92 pages".
Thats somehow unusal or you really have no media link within your pages.
All other values followed that one makeing absolutely no sense.

We have to dig a bit deeper into your system. Therefore please answer following questions:
1. What plugin version are you using ?
2. Show a page source snipped of the [[test_link]] section (incl. a line before and after this internal link). For some reason in your case the search pattern does misinterprete this link. I want to look if there are some special characters around, which could lead into this behaivior.
3. Show a snipped of a media link you are using (also with a line before and after the media link)
4. Also I want to know if you have a standard installation or the page and media files are not located at dokuwiki/data/...

cheers
