konrad Hi, I would like to use the jquery plugin DataTables (http://www.datatables.net/index) to make tables filter- and sortable in DokuWiki. Not sure if it will be a proper plugin or just a small hack. I figured out that tables rendered by DokuWiki don't have a thead and a tbody which are needed to get DataTables running. Does anyone have a suggestion how to solve this easy and quickly? Many thanks in advance. Cheers Konrad
andi DokuWiki doesn't know where your table head is. Consider this table: | cell | cell | cell | | cell ^ cell ^ cell | | cell | cell | cell | It's a valid table, but defining the table head is impossible.
samwilson Feature request for this: https://bugs.dokuwiki.org/index.php?do=details&task_id=1764 I'd say in the above example that there's no THEAD, but that most tables start with a row of headers, and that when a table does so we could assume that this should be the THEAD, and the rest would be the TBODY. Maybe?
turnermm There is a Dokuwiki plugin that sorts tables by headers: https://www.dokuwiki.org/plugin:sortablejs That's not entirely what you need but it may be a start.

turnermm The sortablejs plugin has been updated to work with weatherwax. Thanks go to Otto Vanio Vanio.
