Subject: Is there a way to force the increase/decrease indent buttons to appear in FCKGLite?
Is it possible to force the editor to use the "webkit" version of the editor no matter what browser you use? I'm finding the "insert nested list" buttons difficult to use. If there is a way to force the use of the "nested list" and "nested list return" buttons on firefox I would prefer it.

Also, is it possible to use the tab key to move between cells in a table with fckg?

To change the nested list settings, in /fckg/fckeditor/fckconfig.js, at line 445 you will find the Dokuwiki toolbar set defined.

FCKConfig.ToolbarSets["Dokuwiki"] = [
  ['Bold','Italic','Underline','StrikeThrough','-','Subscript','Superscript'],
  fckg_nested,
  ['Rule', 'Smiley', 'SpecialChar', 'Style'], [],['fonts'],
   . . . .

Replace fckg_nested with ['OrderedList','UnorderedList','Outdent','Indent', 'insertHtmlCode'].  The final comma in that line is required, so that you should have:

  ['Bold','Italic','Underline','StrikeThrough','-','Subscript','Superscript'],
  ['OrderedList','UnorderedList','Outdent','Indent', 'insertHtmlCode'],
  ['Rule', 'Smiley', 'SpecialChar', 'Style'], [],['fonts'],

I've actually made this the default in ckgedit.

We have no control over the tab in table cells.

Thanks,

I actually found ckgedit just after I posted this and it looks like it has the behavior I was looking for.

ckgedit seems to be working well.  But fckgLite has been around much longer and so has a larger user base and more thorough testing history.  They both are based on the same parser, but the CKEditor's HTML sometimes differs from that of the FCKeditor, which was its predecessor, so it occasionally comes up with a surprise.  However, the CKEditor is more contemporary and has a better understanding of recent browsers.

Thanks. Given that i'm not really much of a power user, hence the WYSIWYG editor I don't think it'll be much of an issue.

Do you know if there is a way to increase the default height of the ckgeditor window?

There is a maximize button, which lets you increase the editor to the entire size of the browser, and at the lower right there is an arrow which you can grab and increase the vertical size.

Grab:

Thanks, I saw that I was able to do both of those, but it's kind of annoying to have to do that every time I open the editor. Is there a way to edit the CSS to increase the default size of the editor?

In ckeditor/config.js:

  config.height = 'XXXXpx';
  config.width =  'XXXXpx';

But if you are using the dokuwiki template, the width is limited by the template's inner dimension.  Width can be bigger but it will be hidden unless you change the template's css.

There is now a built-in text field for re-sizing the height of the editing window.  See:
