Subject: moving copy of site to new folder
I have a dokuwiki website with information from '08.  What I want to do is copy that "site" into a new folder, and then make a link on the main site that says "08 information" which links to the folder.  And then I'll modify the main site with the '09 information.  Does that make sense? ;)

Can anyone give me a general overview of how I should proceed?  I'm having a hard time wrapping my brain around it.

Move all the .txt files to the new namespace. But I don't know, if the old revisions are still working after that action ...

I'm trying to do something similar but the links don't get updated. Here is my procedure, please let me know what I'm doing wrong:

New: http://www.jefferyjensen.com/duggal/dw/start
Old: http://www.jefferyjensen.com/dw/start

1. using GoDaddy file manager, I copy my entire dokuwiki site to a new folder
 public_html/dw -> public_html/duggal/dw

2. change basedir or baseurl (I tried changing each one, didn't seem to do anything)
  public_html/duggal/dw/conf/local.php

3. deleted everything in cache folder
  public_html/duggal/dw/data/cache
