Hello,
I installed the newest version of ckgedit (19-Jul_16-07_41) into my brand new dokuwiki (newest version) but nothing shows up after starting the edit mode - there is just a empty page. I tried with every PHP-Version from 5.4 up to 7.3 and several browsers. I have no idea, where to start troubleshooting and need help. Im working on a Linux system, but that seems to make no difference...

Thanks for any help!

I have no solution for you, because there's not enough to go on in your description. Does the plugin load? Or does it not show up in any form, i.e. no ckgedit buttons when the editor opens, no ckgedit toolbar? In the meantime clear out the dokuwiki cache (all directories in data/cache) and refresh your browser cache.

Nothing shows up - there is a empty, white browser page, no 404, no error, nothing
EDIT: I found out now, that I have to uninstall the plugin to get the default editing page working. Just deactivating ckgedit results in the same behavior as described

Can you check you php error log?
martinmap
how do I check the php error log?
turnermm
systems differ. Check google for your system. On some linux machines, it's in var/log/httpd, which is the apache log directory. Usually errors are written to the apache error log. On other linux machines, like Ubuntu it's in var/log/apache2.
You'll have to check for windows yourself.

I found out the reason:
I was setting 'userewrite' to dokuwiki intern before installing ckgedit. I was switching it back to 'none', and now it's working!
turnermm
Ckgedit will work with both internal and htaccess, so something else must have happened to cause the problem. But I'm glad you could get it working.

Hi, Martin...I am struggling to get the ckgedit to work as well. Where is the setting userewrite? Thanks!
turnermm
userewrite is an option in the configuration manager accessed from the admin page:
https://www.dokuwiki.org/config:userewrite
It's unlikely this is the cause of your problem.
Ckgedit requires special setup when used with farms, which is I believe your case. See
